Alvar and Aino Aalto were commissioned to design the interior of the Savoy Restaurant in Helsinki in 1936. Made from a single piece of brass, the Golden Bell was custom-designed as a part of the restaurant’s interior. The Golden Bell Savoy is finished in a polished, unlacquered brass, which develops a patina over time. The interior is brushed, unlacquered brass, which casts a warm light.
