David Weeks’s Gorillion is a design featuring the many faces of Hanno the Wooden Gorilla, a toy that he created a number of years ago. Hanno is based on the Greek voyager ‘Hanno the navigator,’ the first to first to document the gorilla’s existence. “I find when you draw something over and over again, even if you try to repeat yourself, it constantly changes,” said Weeks. “The wallpaper [Gorillion] came directly from my sketch book where I had covered several pages corner to corner with gorilla heads. My wife saw these pages and contacted Jon at Flavor Paper, who then finalized the pattern.” The beauty of Gorillion lies in it’s ability to look warm and sophisticated or playful and colorful depending on the color way chosen. Either way it is sure to be a favorite for all ages.
